Allstate Arena Rules

Allstate Arena seeks to give guests the most enjoyable experience possible and, to that effect, backpacks, selfie sticks, or cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted in the venue.

It is to be noted that Allstate Arena is a 100% peanut-free environment.

All bags will be searched on entry, and bags that are backpack-size or larger are not permitted unless medically necessary, so it is advised that guest leave any large bags in their vehicles.

No food or drink from outside the arena is permitted into the venue, and in-house alcohol sales are limited to two beers per person, per valid ID.

Smoking is prohibited within the Allstate Arena building, but areas for smoking are located outside the South and East entrances of the Arena.

If a child or parent is separated from their party, guests should head directly to the North Security Gate and alert a Rosemont police officer.

Allstate Arena maintains clear policies designed to ensure safe, enjoyable experiences for all guests while respecting performers’ intellectual property rights. You must comply with these rules to keep your access to events. Understanding policies before arrival helps avoid disappointment or delays at entry points.

The venue prohibits outside food and beverages, except for medical necessities and baby bottles or formula. You cannot bring alcohol into the facility under any circumstances. These policies support the arena’s concession operations while maintaining appropriate environments for family-friendly events.

Prohibited Items and Behaviors

You cannot bring weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, or items that someone could use as weapons. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited, and security works closely with local law enforcement. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry or remove guests who appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Guests cannot bring professional cameras with detachable lenses, video recording equipment, or audio recording devices into the venue without specific credentials. You can use small personal cameras and smartphones to capture memories. GoPros, selfie sticks, tablets, and iPads are prohibited as they obstruct other guests’ views.

Laser pointers, noisemakers, beach balls, frisbees, and similar items cannot enter the venue as they create safety hazards or distract from performances. You must leave signs, banners, and large flags at home unless the specific event allows them. The venue reserves the right to determine what constitutes acceptable or prohibited items.

Age and Supervision Policies

All guests, regardless of age, including infants and small children, require event tickets. You cannot share seats with children sitting on laps, as fire codes require separate seating for everyone. This policy ensures accurate capacity counts and emergency evacuation procedures.

Children under specific ages may require adult supervision depending on the event type and time. You should check individual event listings for any age restrictions or requirements. Some shows marketed to adult audiences may have age minimums that you must respect.

Photography and Recording

Usually, guests are allowed to use personal smartphones and small cameras for their own photography and memories. You cannot record video or audio of performances, as this violates copyright protections. Artists and promoters retain exclusive rights to recordings of their performances.

The venue may implement stricter photography policies for specific events upon request from artists or promoters. You might encounter phone-free shows using Yondr pouches or similar technology. These restrictions protect artists’ creative control and enhance audience engagement by discouraging phone use during performances.
